AG LITERACY
Projects and programs related to educating students and teachers about the source of food and fiber and the role agriculture plays in our economy and society including ag career exploration, job shadowing, college ag recruitment, AITC classroom presentations, teacher workshops, Adopt-A-Classroom, non-school lessons and programs for children, teacher/school recognition, youth education, FFA programs, and 4-H involvement.

FARM INCOME & DEVELOPMENT
Programs related to market information and development, outlook meetings, risk management, insurance, loan programs, ag production, agronomy days, meetings related to the Farm Bill, cash rent, livestock regulations, commodity promotions, alternative agriculture, agritourism, specialty crops, financial planning, estate planning, retirement planning marketing tours and trade.

HEALTH & SAFETY
Projects and programs associated with preventative healthcare, lifeline screenings, health fairs, mental health programs, emergency care, CPR or first aid training, family and personal safety, hunting safety, farm safety, safety day camps, traffic safety, distracted driving awareness, driver’s ed class, crime prevention, $1,000 reward program, and AgrAbility Unlimited.

ADVOCACY 
Consider how you increased Farm Bureau’s effectiveness and visibility as an advocate for farmers, legislative and regulatory activities, Friend of Farm Bureau recognition, Adopt-a-Legislator, legislative visits, FB Act, surfacing candidates, meet the candidate, work with coalitions, issue campaigns, policy development, and policy resolutions education.

LOCAL AFFAIRS
Efforts relating to local government finance, property assessments, preservation of natural resources, protecting the environment, influencing academic programs of schools and colleges, wildlife and wild plant management, transportation use and maintenance, land use, zoning, local government units and community and economic development including 9-1-1, health department, disaster recovery and RIMSAP/Rural Nurse Practitioner.

ENGAGEMENT & OUTREACH
Consider how your efforts broadened engagement with consumers, volunteers and leaders including communications with the public through publications, websites and social media, media outreach, coalitions built with other groups, Promotion & Education Committee, training programs, county leader development including statewide board director training and ALOT, strategic planning, member participation in IFB sponsored state meetings, Leaders to Washington, and organizational development and structure.

MEMBERSHIP VALUE
Efforts to enhance and promote the value of Farm Bureau membership including local and statewide member benefits, incentive programs, and programs to meet specific needs, as well as recruitment, acquisition, promotion, appreciation and retention activities. Programs may include member picnics, social activities, workshops, membership booths and affiliate membership incentives.

CFB FOUNDATIONS & FUNDRAISING
Programs that provide a direct connection to fundraising including Events such as golf outings, silent auctions, and raffles; Appeals such as direct mail and online campaigns; and Donor Cultivation/Gift Stewardship including newsletter updates to donors, thank you letters from students, personal calls, visits, or donor recognition in newspapers.  Programs may also include scholarships and other grants, awards, or community service activities such as monetary support or community service hours to other community organizations, as well as FFA chapter donations, 4-H service projects, or Chamber community outreach.
Counties will also list each CFB Foundation Activity along with pertinent information such as dollars raised and cause supported.  These activities will be hidden during the judging process.
